Privacy Policy for Kerala Lottery Koottukaran
How our independent Kerala lottery results app handles ticket scans, result data, alerts, and support messages.

This policy applies to Kerala Lottery Koottukaran (the “App”), developed by Sahoo Soft Technologies (“we”, “us”). It describes the current Android app and is separate from our general website privacy policy.
We are not authorised, endorsed, or affiliated with the Kerala State Lotteries Department. The App displays publicly available information. Always check a result and any prize claim against the official result PDF and Kerala Government Gazette.
1. What the App does
The App retrieves public Kerala lottery results, lets you search or scan a printed ticket, and can show local alerts when a newly checked result is available. It does not require an account. The current App has no advertisements, in-app purchases, payment processing, ticket sales, or developer-operated results server. We do not use an analytics or advertising SDK in the current App.
Predictions and number picks are for entertainment. Past results cannot predict future draws.
2. Data the App uses

If the code does not identify the draw, the App temporarily captures an image to read printed draw details on your device, then deletes the image. Camera images, video and ticket details are not uploaded. |
| Ticket series and number | Details you type or scan are used on the device to compare with downloaded results. They may remain visible while the search screen is open. The App does not intentionally store or send your ticket number to us. |
| Preferences and cache | The selected language, result cache, alert setting, result revision/notification history, and background-check status are stored in the App’s local storage to make the App work. |
| Support email | If you choose to email us, your email provider sends us the address, message, and anything you include. We use it to respond and handle your request. |
We do not ask for your name, location, contacts, financial details, or government ID in the App. Please do not include sensitive ticket or identity information in a support email unless needed for your request.
3. Result sources and external sites
The App makes network requests for publicly available result pages and PDFs at statelottery.kerala.gov.in and result.keralalotteries.com. It does not send your scanned ticket details as part of those result requests. Like any website you visit, those sites may receive your IP address, device/network details, and request time. Their handling of that information is governed by their own policies.
If you open an official result, prize-claim page, our company website, or another external link, that destination may process information under its own policy. The App cannot control those sites or the timing and accuracy of their publications.
4. Local storage and result alerts
Cached results and preferences are kept in the App’s private local storage so recent results can be displayed and your choices remembered. The App keeps an on-device record of result revisions already notified to avoid repeating alerts. These records normally remain until you clear the App’s data or uninstall it; your Android backup settings may also affect copies stored by your device provider.
Result alerts are optional. If enabled, the App requests notification permission and schedules local notifications after a result check identifies a new or corrected result. The App does not register a push token with our server. Android may delay or skip background checks, so notifications are not guaranteed at a particular time. You can turn alerts off in Profile or remove notification permission in Android settings.
5. Sharing and contacting us
The “Share app” action opens Android’s share sheet after you tap it. It shares an App description and Play Store link, not your ticket details. The service you choose for sharing applies its own privacy practices.
“Contact us” opens your email app with our support address. We do not receive a message until you choose to send it. We keep support messages only as long as reasonably needed to answer, resolve follow-up requests, or meet applicable obligations. You can ask us to delete a support conversation at the email below; we may need enough information to find it and may retain records where required.
6. Your controls
- Use Search without granting camera permission, or revoke camera access in Android settings.
- Turn result alerts off in Profile or revoke notification permission in Android settings.
- Change your language in Profile.
- Clear the App’s local data in Android settings or uninstall it to remove locally stored results and preferences from your device.
- Email us about support messages you sent, including access, correction, or deletion requests where applicable.
The App does not provide an account because it does not create one.
7. Security and children
The App requests official result pages over HTTPS and keeps its cache within Android app storage. No internet or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. If you contact us by email, remember that email security also depends on your mail provider.
This App is intended for adults interested in published lottery results and is not directed to children. It does not offer lottery purchases or gameplay.
8. Changes and contact
We may update this policy if App features or data practices change. The effective date at the top will be revised when we do. Material changes will be reflected in the App and on this page.
